Tan & Dusted!!

Some people might be wondering as to why did I choose this project as my blog post in the on-going contemporary and minimalistic era of designs??But I am glad enough to mention that this project is very close to my heart, especially this master bedroom which I have designed for my client’s Mr. & Mrs. Tanna residing in the Laxmi Narayan Residency,Thane and you will come to know the reason behind it being so close to my heart as you read the blog post ahead.

We had a mutual discussion which led me to take the balcony area inside the room giving it a more spacious look and by converting the window into a French one, It was possible for me to make the room more huge and open in nature. The vertically long, flowing, simple and plain contrasting white paper cloth curtains are giving a brighter look to the dusted interiors.

We have combined a duct cum wardrobe area with the ceiling giving it a lighter tone with handmade fine carved groves by our own team of carpenters. I did not want to go with the flashy interior since the theme in my mind was to keep it more rustic and plain by highlighting its beauty with the laminates. A simple double bed working on the hydraulic technique is merged with the side table on one side and a side cum dressing table on the other side.

The symmetry of the bed had to be balanced and was a big question in my mind. I choose to go with the bed paneling for this case as what else could be a more better option than this. Merging half of the panel with the side table in the up-side down L-shaped pattern, giving cuts and keeping slits to the middle panel a perfect symmetrical pattern was what was the end result acheived. The top focus lights were a necessity to enhance the beauty of the panel.

A soothing beige brown colour, the colour of that year 2016,balanced the ceiling and the panel wall in symmetry maintaining the rhythm of the room. The lines and textures of the entire room being in a linear manner I had to go with the irregular shapes and designs for the main ceiling area in order to sync the entire room.

Considering the budget of the client I decided to use tiles having a wooden effect since wooden flooring was a bit out of their budget. The wooden effect was a must since the wardrobe being in a lighter tone was keeping the balancing factor at stake as per the design principles.

A contrasting huge personalized rug again having circular patterns in sync with the above ceiling as designed by our own manufacturer is finally completing the beauty of the room.

This master bedroom is a perfect live example of how to design a room without the use of wallpapers, mdf boards, acrylic panels, charcoal sheets etc, etc thus maintaining the budget of your client by making it cost effective and achieving the beauty of the room at the same time only through your design pattern and nothing else. And then what else does your satisfied client want from you more than this!!
